Have you ever met them? Can they really be that bad or is it just for show? I'm not sure how anyone can be that gross all the time.

No I've never met them. We both filmed for Toddlers & Tiaras and that's about all we have in common. I'm sure a good portion of what you see is staged. However, people we know that worked on their show says they are really that crude and don't care what anyone thinks about them.
Met a lady tonight who is competing with her daughter. I was thinking she didn't much look the pageant type and then she told me her story. She lost 130lbs to start competing in mother/daughter pageants because her daughter wanted to do them together. She did it by riding a bike, Zumba and eating well. So awesome.
She and her daughter are being filmed next week for a new show about moms & daughters who do pageants I guess.
