Fairness : Do you live in the immediate area near this proposed project? Are you employed by or a respresentative of those proposing this project?

@Sammee : Yes. I thought the same thing. Pretty sure this "new member" is a rep. or member of this Harris County Housing boondoggle. They will shove this down our throats using any means possible.

This will certainly add more students to our schools and more cars on our highways and roads. We don't need more.

@ParksideRes : I moved to a single family home in 1982 just before the oil bust. That was 40 years ago. There were not many people living here then and I could put my cruise control on and drive all the way to 1960 without stopping. We had nine elementary schools in the whole humble School district and two high schools. There was lots of room to grow back then but there isn't now.

@ParksideRes : Yeah, now that we have traffic congestion, constant loud noise, and crime, I guess it really is time to move on to a nice little town somewhere out there like Humble used to be.

They probably just putting in all these amenities for the new class of poor people that is currently in process of being created.

No, I am just a normal person who helps people find safe housing. Don't want any trouble - just was interested in learning more about this development to see if it will build.

Was thinking about referring my daughter but will reconsider since there is such a hostile response from people in the neighborhood.

I don't think this housing development is free and believe that tenants will pay their own rent. I also believe they will have to pay taxes every year like everyone else.

You should apply for one to - if you like it.

@Fairness : It's owned by Housing Authority. No property taxes are generated at all. I'm fine with assisted housing, and disgusted with the "not in my backyard" people. However the amenities proposed here are too much.

Now if this was a mixed use, with a % rent controlled, that would be a different issue.
