But the connotations that they use, if a white person said that, it would be considered racist......sick of the double standard
@macdaddy:
There was a "whiteish" character that said outrageous things on TV. His name was Archie Bunker of All in the Family in the 1970s. Archie did not bite his tongue when it came to his opinion of minonorites as he put it. So where's the double standard?
@rocket:
The difference is then, it was considered crazy to even go that far, yet was huge because it opened up the discussion of race. Now, if someone who is white said what Archie would say, there would be a huge demonstration. They say the show wouldn't fly on today's TV shows, and yet, you have shows like Tosh.O, Family Guy etc, that say whatever comes out of their mouths. Not to mention Sean Hannity spewing BS everywhere. Racism needs to be talked about and yet if you do, you're damned. It's alive and well in America and in every community as far as I can see. If you doubt it, go to KHOU.com and see what they say on there.
As far as "Black-ish", my opinion is I love Anthony Anderson, but Diana Ross' daughter (sorry, I don't know her name) is not that good an actress, she comes across as rehearsed, poorly rehearsed. The concept of spanking show that I saw, was pretty good, I laughed and get it, so I say it's a good one. My fav right now though is "The Goldberg's".
