ParksideRes : So you think the IRS did nothing wrong under Biden. Got It. #msg2182713

@Atascocita888 : lol, they were leaked under his own watch.🤣 Not Biden.

And you still haven't realized the IRS can't "drop" a suit filed against them.

They work hard at mental acrobats to justify the fraud.

The dropping of the IRS lawsuit and the slush fund are not legally related.

@ParksideRes : Ah, yes, but when did someone start trying to access his taxes and release them to the press? After Trump was elected the first time everyone was after him. Remember? Even the Republicans in congress thought he had something to do with Russia. Obama and Hillary for sure did not want him elected. So here is a bit more information.
" According to DOJ and court documents, Charles Littlejohn accessed and stole Trump's tax information between roughly May 2019 and September 2020.
* DOJ documents say Littlejohn gave Trump tax information to The New York Times between August and October 2019.
* The New York Times published major stories on Trump's taxes in September 2020, shortly before the 2020 election.

WHY? Oh, yeah, because they were trying to damage him so he wouldn't get elected.

@Atascocita888 : And again, all under his own watch and his hand picked bosses. It's a failure of his own administration. Do you not know who was president in 2019 and 2020?

You're highly confused here.

The fund would be set up for those who claimed they were unfairly punished by the Biden administration-including Jan. 6 rioters. So not all Jan. 6 people but all the others #msg2182712

@Atascocita888 : I read the article. And I understand the whole "saving money" thing. Don't agree with it but understand it.

What I do not understand is setting up a fund to give money to convicted felons. I do not understand how a person can go to court, present their defense, etc., and are convicted, can claim they were targeted by the Biden administration. They did it. Twelve jurors said they did it. It was not a random targeting of random people. It was arresting, trying and convicting people who committed crimes. Regardless of their motives, they broke the law. With law, either follow it or change it. Don't ignore it and then act surprised if you are caught.

Again, I think this all goes back to Trump refusing to accept the will of the people and trying to force his own will down our throats. He justifies the combatants as freedom fighters. Maybe that was their intent - to fight for the soul of America - but they did it the wrong way. We are a nation of laws. Have been for 250 years. Change the laws. Fight it in court. Follow the system. Paying January 6th criminals is WRONG.

@ParksideRes : Perhaps you as well are confused. " The man accused and convicted of leaking Donald Trump's tax records, Charles Littlejohn, did not actually "work for Trump." He worked as a contractor for the IRS through the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.

According to court filings and prosecutors, Littlejohn said he intentionally sought a job giving him access to IRS tax databases so he could obtain and leak tax returns, including Trump's. Prosecutors said he acted out of his own "personal, political agenda."

Paying January 6th criminals is WRONG. #msg2182814

@niceguy : I gather it is not just paying them but allowing them to seek payment since a broad court finding that all or most Jan. 6 defendants were denied fair trials and there are several J6ers that have gotten parts of their convictions overturned. Not sure if this money is given to them for new trials or to pay their legal fees so they can have new hearing or just give them money. But if some were convicted because of overreach of the justice system then perhaps they should be paid.

There were others that were not J6ers that were wrongly treated. I believe the 70 year old in Colorado that they just released was sentenced a ridiculously long term. Then there was a the pastor that Swat came in and in front of his wife and 6 kids arrested him. Later he would be released. Then of the J6ers there was Joseph Fischer - his obstruction charge became central to a major Supreme Court case that narrowed how the government could use the federal obstruction statute against Jan. 6 defendants. Some convictions were later reconsidered because of that ruling.
* Peter Schwartz - a federal appeals court ruled the FBI violated his Fifth Amendment rights by compelling him to unlock his cellphone. The court ordered review of whether some convictions should be vacated because of that constitutional violation.
* Larry Brock - a former Air Force officer whose sentence later became part of a broader appeals ruling questioning sentence enhancements used in some Jan. 6 cases.
* Some Proud Boys and Oath Keepers leaders, including Stewart Rhodes and Enrique Tarrio, had their seditious conspiracy convictions targeted for dismissal by the Trump Justice Department in 2026. Supporters say that proves overreach; critics say it was political interference rather than proof the original trials were unfair.
Whatever, the case some people were most likely dealt more unfairly because Biden was now in charge and they were all going to be made an example of. So I am sure there are people who deserve money.

He worked as a contractor for the IRS #msg2182843

@Atascocita888 : Then yes, he was still under the umbrella of the IRS. Under Trump's administration.

were others that were not J6ers that were wrongly treated #msg2182845

@Atascocita888 : Perhaps. But that is not the fault of the Biden administration or DOJ. The DOJ investigates, solicits indictments as needed and gets the people to the court. Then they are out. Done. The courts run the show from that point - even the DOJ prosecutors are under the control of the court.

And we already have protocols for compensating people wrongly convicted or incarcerated. If some people get parts of their convictions overturned or vacated, they still have convictions on other charges. If everything is overturned, then follow the protocols for wrongfully conviction.

IMO, those who were convicted, and were pardoned without having the conviction vacated should not be given a dime.
