@TheCatsMeow : Absolutely ridiculous !!! I had 2 crepe myrtles that I had planted that were very thick & beautiful on the right side of my house that I loved . They can't hurt us if they go down in a storm & completely shaded the west sun off our house . They are very messy while blooming so every day I cleaned up my neighbors driveway . My trees my mess so I always took care of it . On my driveway on the other side of the house my driveway my mess also even though I have no trees there at all . I spend several months out of the year blowing off leaves acorns & seed & pollen . They on the other side have an Oak & pine . That Oak & pine is no where near their patio area so it doesn't effect them . We had some friends that built a home on the point out here . At their last home they had their slab fixed 3 times . Finally the company said they had to tear out the trees because they are sucking all the water out of the soil & killing all the grass & causing the problem of the cracked slab .
What I forgot to say we cut the crepe Myrtles down because they were lifting the sidewalk on that side of the house .
