Suspect Arrested After Refusing to Leave Rental Property and Assaulting the HomeownerSUSPECT ARRESTED AFTER SHE REFUSED TO LEAVE A RENTAL PROPERTY AND ASSAULTED THE HOMEOWNEROn October 27, 2023, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 8900 block of Wildbird Lane in reference to a disturbance. Upon deputies arriving, the owner of the property advised that she rented the location to female client, Shayla Perkins, who refused to leave after her check out time.When the reportee asked for the keys to the property, she physically assaulted her, causing pain and visible injury. "Shayla Perkins was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Assault. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 10." - Constable Mark Herman
