I was surprised to hear Michael Berry with KTRH mentioned that

All the neighborhoods that have been built close to the beltway seem to be the most susceptible to crime. Even Summerwood was wonderful when it was first developed. Sadly, crime really increased over the years. Now you have all the neighborhoods off Woodland Hills, between Will Clayton and the beltway. Those went downhill so fast, it makes my head spin.

.Catmae : And Fall Creek. All of those beautiful homes, and the homeowners can't get out of there fast enough.Really dumb idea to build a luxury, master-planned community so close to a "getaway highway."

I don't have any plan to leave unless I find it really is bad. I go out to my car at night and not worried but out and back in. I have wonderful neighbors and no where will have perfection. I would move to the beach if my son didn't have our business now near. My street is really great.
I think he needs to say what neighborhood.

What makes you think that a person renting is bad? Many years ago I had several states of rental apartments. I didn't find they were more likely to skip out than a person owning a home. I went to many states and I was there to make the apartment complex to be a great place. Back then, a warm body almost made it in but I had trained the manager how to check them. Renters are just like owners wanting a safe and nice place. What makes a bad renter in Atascosita?

When I moved to texas a circled the fall Creek area on a map and told the realtor that I would like to look at that area due to where it was in relation to my office. He flat refused to show me property in that area because of the ghetto issues there. This was before they started building fall Creek, but basically, they plopped a master planned community in the middle of a ghetto. That was doomed

I've lived in Walden for 24 years and it has changed so much...I'm sick of it being a cut through, people parking on the street when the driveway is empty, sick of dumped vehicles or those without current tags( have contacted the constables but nothing happens sadly) ,Sick of Rent houses full of several families (against HOA rules)Sick of grown people not taking take of the biggest purchase they make in their lives....a House!....

If I am not happy with anything it would be they let all those small apartments right behind me with a lake to keep them away. I really haven't seen anything alarming coming from there and I can see from my deck. I am so blessed to have super great neighbors.

I am sure if I was seeing things like that I would not like it. I just don't have that. Most of the block have been here like me for a long time. I need to look up how long I have been in this house but 40 years at least.

I think maybe it is unusual but most of the block I think have been here for many years. My neighbor is new and I don't think they like the house as much as they thought. I bet they sell but I haven't gotten to know them really. My other side is building somewhere else and that will be a big thing with them gone. They are amazing and I will miss them gone.

Regarding street parking, yeah, that's the pits. It is a major safety issue because it can be difficult to see a small child trying to cross the street or difficult to go around, etc. We had this issue in The Groves. The HOA sent an email stating that they couldn't do anything other than ask people to not park on the street as Harris County doesn't allow parking restrictions. I was shocked that they said they couldn't have restrictions on street parking due to Harris County laws.

That is just the two on each side. I know almost everyone and still very many homes
that have been here as long as me. I have no intention to sell this house but I have bought my best guys home because it is smaller and golf course so I am thinking my son and I move there. I will check the street but I have not seen anything bad. We might be the bad one because the garage is only one car I think but then again we probably won't be a car in there. I am a little thinking we may not want to live in it and rent it. I love my home here.

I have 1 crappy neighbor, but otherwise, I like my area, and love all y'all. I hope you stay on here, if you move.
