How do you know it's not just a dog? It looks an awful like pretty much any dog with mange. Mange is super curable and I'd hate to have a dog shot for something that could be easily cured in a shelter.

I have been in the outdoors for a long time and I can tell what is coyote and dog.

you people that are saying shoot it are just ignorant. This animal needs help and placement away from idiots like you who care to do nothing more than kill an innocent animal. Wake up, you have no idea what this poor soul has been through and especially if he does have mange how painful that is. Come on...give it to me, I can take it. I would help this poor guy, I wouldnt shoot it, I would help it. God forbid something ever happens to you, I know its just an animal...NO, it is so much more than that, you just dont understand.

@doodler You do know coyotes are predators? In many parts of the Country they have been known to attack kids and domestic animals. Sick ones are more dangerous. Trying to take a wild animal like a coyote in your house is illegal. My experience with coyotes is dealing with them at my wife uncle ranch in Hill country where they are **** on site as they come to feed on livestock.

Here is a controversial response, what if we stop habitat fragmentation. Stop building homes and businesses, we should be protecting our neighborhood animals. If you are worried about animals entering your property then why enter on theirs?
