School vouchers

Community impact article shows 16 percent of students in humble ISD are classed as special education. This changed my opinion of school vouchers.
These parents should have the choice to investigate all education avenues for , in their opinion, to give the best education for their child.

Most private schools don't cater to special needs. They're not legally required to educate them.

tflea : In a positive way? Private schools don't accomodate 504/IEP plans.

Sometimes certain students with special needs enrolled in a public school can have success with a quality teacher in a private school.

Usually a private school does not have the extra funding to hire a SPED teacher.

The private school I worked at accepted all students on a trial basis with the understanding that there would not be SPED or extra help from Teachers Assistents. Several students did work out fine.

Looks like Abbott signed the school choice bill yesterday. It's here for the foreseeable future.
