Proactive Traffic Enforcement Yields Significant Drug and Gun Seizures

Traffic Stops for Expired Registration & Speeding Lead to Multiple Guns & Drugs Seized:
Last night, February 13, 2025, officers were conducting proactive anti-crime traffic enforcement and successfully took multiple firearms and drugs off the streets.
During one traffic stop on US Hwy 59 for speeding (96 in a 65), an officer discovered a firearm in possession a convicted felon.
In another stop for expired registration, the officer’s investigation led to the driver’s arrest for possession of narcotics and a firearm.
Shortly after these arrests, an officer checking on a disabled vehicle led to an additional arrest for the possession of more narcotics and multiple firearms
