@Vinbert : They will. Unfortunately it will probably take a couple of deaths for them to realize this is a dangerous spot. That's the only thing that gets their attention.

this is what I thought about when I said I was worried about what kinds of folks will be attracted to there......folks driving in circles in Dodge Chargers and Mustangs in the parking lot kinda people. I'll likely not ever plan on going there.

@Catmae : State law says 3 deaths will get a stoplight. The stoplight by Walmart. An attorneys wife and two daughters were hit and killed there.

@SnoopSister : It was the attorney's wife and two sons (not girls). My boys were in little league with them. They were hit by a logging truck. It was so horrible. Happened on DH's birthday, August 17th.Kie used to keep that corner landscaped with their crosses, until all that Walmart construction started.

@Catmae : Thanks for the correction. I do remember the crosses. I think I read that he has since remarried and has a family. Such a sad situation that was.

@SnoopSister : I re-read my comment and it did come off as me correcting you. I didn't mean it that way. It was just such a big deal back when it happened. We had been out to dinner for DH's birthday, to the place that's across the street from Taco Flores. When they built it, it was a Chinese food place ... one of our favorite places. Anyway, we had trouble getting home, because the accident had Atascocita Road completely closed down. A couple hours later we started getting phone calls about the accident. Just horrific. The school brought in special counselors to help all the kids who were traumatized about their friend.

How old were the boys? I never knew any details about the circumstances. The dad was an attorney, correct?

@SnoopSister : The oldest was 9, the same age as my youngest. They played ball together. The little one was a year or two younger. My oldest son played ball with their cousin. Yes, Kie was an attorney in Humble and had his own practice. He did remarry and started his life over again.The accident was Aug. 17, 1993.

This is why it infuriates me that people have to die before they add traffic signals. The pain and suffering, ugh ... it just floors me. I guess it's all about the money.
