How many of you had one?

Would you get the newest version of it?

Here's what it looks like.... bit.ly/2QBlV2z

I really hated the original RAZR, they keypad was unpleasant to use and felt cheap and the Motorola UI was terrible compared to their competitors (esp. Nokia), The new one is interesting, but the price point they have hit to cover RND for that trick hinge so the folding screen doesn't get destroyed and for the screen itself is insane! $1500 for an, admittedly cool, android phone.

No way will I pay huge bucks for a phone. I use mine so little would be happy with an old Nokia like I used to have. At least it didn't take 5 minutes to open it and I could text on it. I tried to call in an accident a few weeks ago and my Android was updating and by the time it stopped police were already there.

@chasinghosts : ok, that is so WRONG!!! You should always be able to call in an emergency.

@TexanFan1 : IKR? and the last one I had before this, I was walking into my closet and as I'm going through the bathroom I just wing it right into the toilet, for no reason I just flung it. I have no business even having a cell LOL!

Loved my original RAZR. BUT like many people I won't pay that much for a phone that I only use as a phone.

@Smokeybear : I don't blame you. I, on the other hand, use it as a secondary computer. Like when I am out of town and need to retrieve something from my home computer, I can do so with ease from my cell phone. Adjust my home thermostat because our weather is either up or down and I'm not home yet to physically change it. Plus respond to emails from clients for both my business and my husband's. Back in the days when cell phones were getting more into the market, I would only have the phone in case of an emergency and would leave it in my car. Then the texting changed the game for me and my usage.

This was my favorite phone of all time. The only reason I replaced it at the time was because the screen went dark...

@FNULNU1954 : My wife had the red version of that phone from Sprint.

I'm an outlier with phones, I always support the platforms that die, I had a Palm Pre which I loved.

Had a Windows Mobile 6.1 Samsung Phone back in the UK which was pretty bad but when WindowsPhone 7 came out and up to WM10 I was a Windows Phone user.

Switched, reluctantly to Android when I didn't have any other choice and now I have an iPhone forced upon me by my employer, which isn't as awful as I expected, it's nice to have ALL the apps and accessories.

I have never spent money on a flagship phone and wouldn't want to but I do use my phone as a pocket computer these days.

I think it is horrible the prices they charge and it costs them 5 bucks to make...

The new phones are crap I tell you. First of all, now you have to be super careful because you are walking around with a $1k phone. I'm a clutz with my phone but my note 10+ had to have a cover like an armed car and still I can't work the dang thing like my old note 8. The cost really wasn't that bad because we have been a long time customer of Sprint and when it boils down I think we are playing $20 a month and it is paid in 24 months so not as bad as buying outright and we received a $200 Costco gift card for each phone so that makes it even less. But again, I am constantly getting my son to do something to it while threatening to flush it !

I loved my original, although most other people I knew that had them broke them pretty quick, I was lucky with mine. But I wouldn't go for the new one, I've heard bad things about this new foldable screen technology- it's way too sensitive to scratches/damage. Let them get a little further along in the tech, maybe it'd be worth it.

@Floyd : The two main foldable phones brought to market (or attempted to be brought) so far have had some issues but Motorola was somehow able to do the R&D for a trick hinge on this one that SHOULD hold up better, honestly if they haven't tested it thoroughly after the issues their competition have had it would be too much of an embarrassment to make such a big deal out of it.

I had one of the originals, but will not be buying one of the new models. I'm not very optimistic that the foldable screens are going to work very well after heavy use. I almost always buy top of the line models from the previous generation or 2 instead of the brand new models. It doesn't seem logical to spend $1,000 on a device that will last 2 years if I'm lucky and will only be used for texting, checking email, and phone calls.

I just recently (last 3-4 weeks) gave up the last of our Razr V3xx phones. Loved the phone. I wouldn't mind the new Razr but the price would have to come down a whole lot.
