@Melody : For a lightly marketed neighborhood event? Very well attended.....find a parking spot.....go ahead....find one. Awesome event.BUT, I spoke to the man. Told him I never hear that he has become a Redskins fan. Any Congress critter that becomes a Skins fan has abandoned his constituents and living to stay in DC. Lived and learned it with Phil Gramm......them lobbyists have some sweet game day suites. Told him that, too.Got a good handshake.....and he pulled me back.......Said "You got it right"...,,,... So there is that...I dunno....they are just people subject to the same sociological things any of us would be......Seems easy, but it's not

Now were I would have more time to spend with the Senator, I would have pointed out that his filibuster(AKA TheShutdown) was avoided if the Obama Admin had agreed to certain compromises. We'll start with one..... delay the corporate mandate by one year. Denied.And then, by wave of the magic wand.......post filibuster......that was done.There were others....the same outcome.What a ********** deal that piece of legislation turned out....PPACA. And that was what our Executive Branch decided to shut down our open air parks, like to our Veterans, as an issue. Can't think of anything worse.....got anything? Sad, sad stuff.Prolly would have got a bus ride to Redneck Country Club with that conversation......never had a a shot though.

I got to say hi to him, shook his hand and told him I already voted for him, then he thanked me. He seems & sounds very genuine just like on tv oh! And he's tall, lol, me being the shortest on the picture 😂 It was great meeting him 😊

The crowd looked small on the various photos posted on Twitter. Did they only allow a certain amount of people in?

@+1 : It was in one of the ballrooms at The Overlook, so limited space. I can tell you that the parking lot was overflowing because I drove around and around looking for a spot. It was also at an inopportune time for those who are working. I'm only 5'2", so I was surrounded by a sea of tall people blocking my view, so I couldn't see how full the room got. A lot of the people left before the newscast, which is just crazy! Who wouldn't want to be on TV??

Here's my cheek with him, I shook his hand and said "God Bless You", and he returned the phrase.
