@Hwyten Your right the neighbors got out there & helped out in what ever way's they could .And there are other ways to help people before something becomes a really big issue . And yes you should know your neighbors . I'm not saying you have to be best friends but let them know you care about them .

I started off by when I saw a neighbor at their mail box I went out to mine & then struck up a conversation with them . I also asked them to exchange phone numbers with me . If we are leaving town I tell all my neighbors we are not moving so if you see a moving truck or anyone over here call the police first then me . They all have our childrens names & phone numbers . And I have done the same thing with them . I have their numbers & contact info . We really do look out for each other .

If so, that's a pretty tall order. Most of us won't answer the door for any solicitor.

@lana7018 This is somebody's next door neighbor not a solicitor . Huge difference .

I don't get the fuss here. It is a community news story; BUT it kind of sounds like a woman who may have had mantal disability and was fortunate enough to live with her caregiver survived when he passed, and may not have had the functionality to notify authorities or seek help.

It is possible that this is a sad case of natural death accompanied with a handicapped person losing her caregiver.

Sad for both.

Hwyten you're a condescending jerk. Yes, churches could do more, but don't keep running your mouth like a know-it-all snob. There was no reason for you to insult people.
