HHS - Already hosting Quest and too small

@lana7018 Have they been at HHS for a while? For some reason I thought they were at the Lone Star campus on WLHP. Maybe I just misunderstood their connection with Lone Star.

*edit* Didn't misunderstand. It's on the FAQ document. Guess it's just old info if they are at HHS now.

@daddyo9 Starting last year - they have pretty much the whole 2nd floor of the main building.

I think sending the students to Summer Creek is the best option out of only bad ones, but it doesn't seem the overcrowding at Atascocita HS would matter since not all the students would be there together since they're doing split days.

It's a done deal folks. Incredibly difficult solution in the midst of a horrific situation. Time to back our administration, teachers and students and make the very best of it.

Thank you TheCatsMeow, you said it quite well. Be surprised at how SCHS and KHS students manage to get along once they are together in the same building.
No, my daughter attends HHS but I believe everything will work out just fine.

My point was that the students WOULDN'T be in the building together, so the overcrowding is not relevant in that situation.

@thankful Eh it wouldn't work. How would you get that many kids cleared out? Trash picked up? Cars? Just the enormity of AHS astounds me. They can't handle what they have.

Atascocita Middle School has a staggered bell schedule and it seems to be working well. One grade at a time changes classes. It avoids overcrowding in the halls, as well as prevents the bigger kids from picking on the younger kids. I wonder why AHS doesn't implement this. From the looks of that picture, that's got to be a fire code viloation to have that many people in the halls at one time.

Edited:
Correction: 7th & 8th share a bell schedule. 6th has their own bell schedule.

@Sammee Honestly been there some when they change classes and it always seems really bad the first couple of days. After that I think it levels out and doesn't appear to be that squished. Maybe I'm just looking with rose colored glasses.

Sometimes I think parents cause more angst for children than there would ever be if they just would keep their mouths shut.
