Dave Ward Inducted into Lone Star Emmy Gold Circle!

Harris County Sheriff's Office:

The Harris County Sheriff's Office joined the City of Houston and ABC13 to celebrate the legendary ABC13 Anchor Emeritus, Dave Ward, for his remarkable service to our community spanning over 50 years.

The City of Houston honored him with a proclamation that acknowledges his outstanding contributions to our community. Congratulations to Dave on his recent induction into the Lone Star Emmy Gold Circle!

Thank you, Dave, for keeping Houstonians informed for generations.

@justanirishgirl : He's 85. He has heart disease, which may contribute to him being in a wheelchair. I know he had some type of infection several years ago and was in the hospital for a while. His son, Dave Ward, Jr., passed away from heart disease a couple of years ago. He was 60.
