Mark Herman, Harris County Constable Precinct 4

CONSTABLES ARREST SUSPECT FOR DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED AND UNLAWFULLY CARRYING A WEAPON

On January 22, 2025, deputies responded to the 7400 block of Thicket Trail Drive in reference to a suspicious vehicle at the location. Upon deputies arriving, they located the vehicle and the driver was identified as Jorge Arriesta, who displayed multiple signs of intoxication.

Due to his level of intoxication deputies deemed that Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were not safe to complete. Further investigation revealed that he was in possession of a loaded firearm.

"Jorge Arrieta was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying of Firearm. His bond was set at $200.00 out of County Court 8." - Constable Mark Herman

@bodyboy : Absolutely no justice in this. 20 bucks. He spends more on alcohol than that.

@Maxsmom :
I don't understand this after I thought again on it somemore. If it was a DUI, aren't they held for at least 24 hours? If for no other reason but to sober up?

@Cbear :
You may be correct, but its the 200.00 bail that's crazy low.

@Cbear :
I researched it a little more it says they can hold a person for at least eight hours until they can bond out.
