Community Leader Byron Calfee Leaves Lasting Impact on HumbleHumble ISD FoundationIt is with great sadness that the passing of Byron Calfee is shared. Byron served as a Founding Board Member of the Humble ISD Foundation board from its inception in 1999 to 2002 and continued to contribute as a member of the Advisory Board for many years. His leadership in the Humble community, including over two decades of service with the Humble Fire Department and as a Humble City Councilman, played a significant role in shaping the early years of the Education Foundation. His wife, Lynette, also served on the Foundation board for 11 years, beginning in 2012.Condolences are extended to Lynette and the entire Calfee family during this difficult time.Public visitation will be held on Friday, January 3rd, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Rosewood Funeral Home on South Houston Avenue in Humble. Services will take place on Saturday, January 4th, at 11:00 am at Humble First Methodist Church on Main Street in Humble, followed by interment at Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble.
