@AtascocitaDotCom: We have used festive gift bags with tissue paper for MANY years and they get smoothed out, folded up and reused next year! No waste at all!

Before bags were readily available, we carefully unwrapped gifts so that we could fold and put away the wrapping paper to reuse for several years. We also used last year's Christmas cards to cut up for unique gift tags! My family laughed at us the first year. The second year, they started doing it, too!

@KathyMarshall : This is exactly what my mother did, when I was growing up!!!!! She didn't actually buy "store bought" gift tags until we were grown and gone.
