Around 8pm a citizen, who was shopping at Kohls, returned to her car to find a husky fellow underneath. Thinking it was odd as she did not request any repairs to be done while she shopped, she contacted Humble PD and advised of the suspicious activity. Units from Night Shift B and the Traffic Division converged on the area, located the vehicle, detained both the driver and passenger and conducted a PC search of the vehicle due to the strong odor of marijuana. The search produced a fresh cut catalytic converter that was still warm to the touch.
This is a violation of City Ordinance Sec 5.07.007 Possession of a detached catalytic converter.
