Please see the attached map provided by TXDOT for details of the total closure of Atascocita Shores Drive between FM 1960 and Summit Pines Drive. The closures have been scheduled to begin today 4/18/22 at 9:00 AM and extend through Wednesday 4/27/22 at 5:00 AM.

These closures will facilitate the accelerated construction of the proposed subgrade and concrete pavement for the south portion of the intersection of FM 1960 at Atascocita Shores by combining multiple phases and steps to construct the new roadway as quickly as possible.

Motorists should expect delays and are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes.
DETOUR: Turn Left, (West), onto Summit Pines Dr. and follow it to Pine Echo Dr.; Turn Right, (North), on Pine Echo Dr. and follow it to FM 1960.
DETOUR: Travel via FM 1960 to Pine Echo Dr.; Follow Pine Echo Dr. to Summit Pines Dr.; Turn Left, (East) onto Summit Pines Dr. and follow it to Atascocita Shores Dr.

Atascocita Shores Dr. access to the Lake Forest Apartment Homes entrance which is located just north of Summit Pines Dr. will be facilitated by the traffic control that will be placed.

@AGLLM : It is an Atascocita ( as in the town) road closure. Notice road is not capitalized. Emoticon

The 1960 expansion took parking spots away in that apartment complex there on the corner and now the road where they have to park outside the gates is closed!

Good grief, thank goodness for your misleading title! I was thinking, no way, why would Atascocita Rd. be closed at the same time FM 1960 is under heavy construction causing traffic jams?
When I leave Kingwood, I drive south on 59 and exit Will Clayton to Atascocita Rd.
Remember when we used to say "Old' Atascocita Rd"?
