Hi everyone I am the Aunt of the late Fabian Smith who was murdered [ in Atascocita ] on February 19, 2017. He was sitting in his car in a shopping center parking lot not far from his family home in the Atacasito area. The man that murderes him waiting on him in several stores as well as a Jumpalooza where children were playing with a loaded gun. His Murderer Tyler Green was someone Fabian considered a friend and once were coworkers. Tyler was giving only a $50,000 Bond and as of today was reduced to $40,000 per request from his family. My family believe that my nephew will not get the proper justice in this matter. And for him to intentionally take Fabian's life and received such a low bond to begin with was a slap in the face. He was my sister's only son and her first born.For him to be taken away in a senseless act of violance is disturbing and hard to heal from. We are asking for help in getting Justice For Fabian Smith. Think about how you would feel if this happen to someone you love

Please sign this petition, “248th District Court: Justice For Fabian "Fabe" Smith.” I think this is important. Will you sign it too?

@Mzshona35 Thanks for posting this.

ADC'ers, this was the man killed in the incident by Jumpalooza in Atascocita...The shooter being the guy in the trench coat.

Read Original Story Here!!

$40,000 (or even $50,000) does seem to be a really low bond for a murder charge!

It is very low, i have worked in the justice system and have seen people get higher bonds for much less offense

It all depends on the criminal history as well. This guy did not have ANY criminal history. Therefore, it's a standard bond at $50,0000. It's the same thing with the guy in Spring who shot his neighbor and killed her. He was given a bond for the same amount and he is out on bond. The more offenses you have on your record then the more the bond will be every time you get arrested.

He actually did have a criminal record. And even with first offenders that was still low for a murder charge

That's definitely rediculous giving him that low of a bond.

Am I the only one who thinks that a known murder should not be eligible for bond?
I don't want this thug walking our streets ever again!

I agree that the bond should never be low enough for them to be out on bond for murder. I mean some lesser charges have far greater bonds on them. I still have not seen where he had a record before. Can someone post what it was for and the details.

Unless it's a juvenile record, otherwise I don't see it.

You are right! He should not have received a bond at all. He sit and waited for my nephew and they even had a pic of him in the Jumpalooza, he is a risk to society for anyone including children, because he was in the play place with children with a loaded gun and the fact the courts couldn't see that as being a risk is very sad.

Unfortunately 50,000 is the standard bond for murder in Harris County.

My prayers go out to your family. I wish murder, regardless of record, would hold no bond. 😓
