@Bob77346 See the double boxes of fries twice on line 3, but only a single box on 4? Wouldn't that mean fries = 1? (3rd line...5 + 2 + 2 = 9...because there are 4 boxes of fries that equal 4...if fries are valued at 2 each, wouldn't the answer to line 3 be 13 and not 9?)

I've got a former HS classmate that is a teacher. She is constantly correcting people on FB on the correct order of math computations. 15 is the correct answer to this one.

How does everyone keep coming up with Frys=1? That's WRONG!

FRYS=2!

5+2+2=9

Final correct answer is 25.

And if our math teachers are saying different, we need to change schools!

There are 4 fry packets in line 3. Hamburger is 5. 5+4=9
Using the correct order on line 4. 1 fry times 1 drink (10) equals 10 plus hamburger(5) equals 15

Like the first time I missed the order of operations, I COMPLETELY missed that there 4 total fry packets in Line 3.

Aren't y'all glad "I" Don't teach math to the kiddos!!!!!

So if you follow the PEMDAS rule (multiplying first...even though my middle schooler says that's "bunk" because there are no parentheses present ðŸ˜€), the answer is 15. If you don't follow the PEMDAS rule (and just go left to right with no regard to the order of operations...that's what I did until I was shown the error of my ways!), the answer is 60.

Which leads us to the true value of this equation...

No more math on ADC!

I missed it, too. Right after I posted the wrong answer I saw it. That was always my problem in math, moving through the problem too fast.
