If you work for any government agency and steal their property, you get arrested and go to jail. If you just steal the money from the taxpayers, it's ok. You were going to sell that stolen property for the same cash anyway. No need to throw your career away over it.

If you are unhappy here..there are other places to live. You seem to enjoy socialized medicine and what not. Canada is an option. #msg2192103

@TortieMama :
This indifference is the reason why our healthcare system is the way it is. Socialized medicine? Seriously? In that case the tip of the spear of our medical apparatus is already socialized. When you call 911, no one will ask you if your taxes are up to date to entitle you to said services. Rather, they come no matter your economic status.

Perhaps emergency services should go to a strictly payee system. Absent proof of tax compliance, before responding, a quick analysis of your ability to pay should be conducted. If it's determined you're not a taxpayer or deem to be unable to pay after the fact, no CPR for you!

Our healthcare system is in crisis. And has been for decades. But politicos have little incentive to address the issue, although as you know, some have tried. Because they understand attempts to ease the burden of crushing bills on Americans, will be seen by some as bowing to socialist ideas. So, they'll continue to let the chickens happily skydive into Col. Sanders' fryer. While they and their families receive the best care money can buy.

TortieMama : As I review it, it just wouldn't be for him. Secondly, understanding the true definition of Socialism, I think we're more under threat of becoming an authoritarian society as opposed to a socialist one. #msg2191859

@rocket1 : It isn't just for him alone. I understand that. However, he has only been in office for 6 months and this would be retroactive to January 1 when he took office! Who gets a raise on day 1?!
