"Pulls out of Texas" lol

It's 2% of their total stores, and are unprofitable locations. One in Texas. It'll take 18 months.

They're also building stores in other areas.

Kroger said they are closing 60 under performing stores. But didn't say where. They also said the would be opening 30 new stores . Thy are not in trouble their stock in up 48 % .

Kroger said they are closing 60 under performing stores. But didn't say where. They also said the would be opening 30 new stores . Thy are not in trouble their stock in up 48 % .

@Catmae : I have not been in the Atascocita store in awhile. If I go to Kroger, it will be the back one. The front one is just too much.

@TortieMama : That's NOT a loss. They were brutally profitable still. That's only total sales, not profits.

2024 saw a profit of $33 billion, a 4 percent increase.

That means they have to be hiking retail prices over wholesale prices. Their costs went down way more than their sales.

Kroger is a money machine.

TortieMama : There are actually two in Atascocita. I don't like either. And their pharmacies suck.

@Catmae : Oh ...I thought there was only the one at WLHP and 1960. Well, a good pharmacy is important. I pharm at smallmart here in Kingwood. Heck, I walk in to just shop and if I see some of the pharm techs in the store, they wave to me as they know me and that is just a nice feeling.
