Keep Pets Safe: Holiday Hazards Tips for Pet Parents

PET SAFETY TIPS: HOLIDAY HAZARDS!
The holiday season is upon us, & many pet parents might plan to include their furry companions in the festivities. As you gear up for the holidays, please keep these important tips from Constable Mark Herman's Office in mind to keep your pets safe and happy this holiday season!
FESTIVE PLANTS: Avoid poisonous plants like mistletoe, holly, lilies, and poinsettias. Opt for artificial plants made from silk or plastic.
HOLIDAY CANDLES: Always remember to blow out candles and don't leave them unattended when lit.
HOUSE RULES: Make sure your guests are aware that you have a pet, and if your pet needs their space. Remember to be conscious of closing doors when going in and out to avoid a pet becoming lost.
GIFTS: Make sure to clean up wrapping paper quickly, and don't leave gifts unattended, especially of they contain food.
HOLIDAY FOOD: Avoid giving table scraps, especially onions, raisins, bones, chocolate, cinnamon, seasoning and raw bread dough.
