On March 20, 2023, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the Old Humble Road and the Beltway 8 intersection to assist the Harris County Sheriff's Office in locating a fresh stolen vehicle. Upon deputies arriving, they quickly located the stolen vehicle but the driver refused to stop leading deputies on a brief pursuit.
During the pursuit, the driver struck another vehicle and the passenger exited the vehicle and fled of foot. After a brief foot pursuit, he was apprehended and identified as a juvenile male.
The driver continued to flee and drove through a school fence. Constable Deputies were able to apprehended the driver and he was identified as a 16-year old juvenile male.
