I just want to say I've been choked by a police officer before. Out of nowhere and he disappeared just as quickly as it happened.
What was I doing? I was drinking a beer.
Where? In some hole in the wall bar in Humble.
What took place prior to this happening? The bartenders called last call.
So, in typical fashion, I wanted to finish my drink in time to order another one of I chose to do so. As I was drinking my beer, neck fully exposed, this uniformed clown attacked me. Not even realizing it was an officer, I of course became defensive in an attempt to free myself from his one handed grip. I'm sure I looked like a deer in headlights in my dismay as I yelled WTF upon learning it was a uniformed police officer. I then let him know I was calling the cops (which I did) and filing a complaint. Unfortunately the officer disappeared like a phantom in the night and I was not able to provide much needed information about which department he was with, so on and so forth. However, the dispatcher informed me that it wasn't an "on duty" police officer. She told me that a lot of officers take side jobs at bars/clubs to earn extra money. Nevertheless, I never ever went back to that establishment. No one could tell me who he was and I'm not sure why I was targeted. Telling the story now, he could have been some serial killer posing as a cop, who knows.
