Owner/occupants should have priority over investors seeking rental properties.

Not sure what you mean....Owners don't have to sell to "investors"...."Occupants" don't own anything and have no choice but to move on.....What are you getting at?....

@EddyFree : People who want to buy and live in a home themselves should have first dibs over anyone who is just going to put it on the rental market.

Of course they are....You really gotta be kidding me!....Renters "walk"....Homeowners have to go through a whole process to sell and move....And that could take months or maybe a year or more....

Ok, so you are saying that there should perhaps be a rule stating that a home should be on the market for X amount of months exclusively available to those planning on actually "occupying" the home?....

Harris Co said it is 150 million for infrastucture the rest is covered by the team similar to what Alanta did. My problem is where does the money coming from when they struggled to come up with 100 million for the sheriffs. Now grant alot will come back in taxs in the future.

@Itsme : It's a web. There are revenue streams that can only be used for specific purposes. You just do not have one specific fund for everything.
 
So they can't take money out of, say, a flood control bond for the Sheriff to cover that.
 
This would come from infrastructure funds that are specific for these types of projects, not just the Texans.
