FM 1960 Steel Beam Placement to Impact Traffic Patterns July 21-24 in Atascocita

The Texas Department of Transportation's (TxDOT) contractor will be placing steel beams for the new bridge that is being constructed over West Lake Houston Parkway at FM 1960. The beam placement is scheduled for the weekend of July 21-24, 2023, and requires the closure of West Lake Houston Parkway on the south side of FM 1960. Drivers can expect major delays on West Lake Houston Parkway and are strongly encouraged to seek altemate routes.
Beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, July 21, to 5 a.m., Monday, July 24
Total Closure of West Lake Houston Parkway north- and southbound on the south side of FM 1960. There will be no through access on West Lake Houston Parkway at FM 1960.
• Drivers traveling southbound on West Lake Houston Parkway will be detoured right or left onto FM 1960.
• Drivers traveling northbound on West Lake Houston Parkway will not have access to FM 1960 and will need to seek an alternate route.
FM 1960 eastbound will have one outside lane closed at West Lake Houston Parkway. No right turn movements to West Lake Houston southbound will be permitted.
FM 1960 westbound will have the left turn lane closed at West Lake Houston Parkway. No left turn movements to West Lake Houston southbound will be permitted.
FM 1960 through lanes are scheduled to remain open.
