No. I was born there and visit from time to time, lots of family there. It's my middle son's dream to live there though. For fishing reasons. I expect this to be a battle as my kids are required to live within a one hour driving radius of me.
There is a chance. Best year around weather for all of the U.S. IMO. I could also see myself back in the midwest. Small chance of a place like Colorado, but the mountains are wonderful to visit.
I stayed in Cocoa Beach, Florida attending training for six months. When I was there I constantly saw news of gator attacks and people pets being snatched by them. I would say no thanks. I do like the St John Wildlife area and some fish spots though.
I don't think I could ever move out of Texas again, I moved to Georgia some years ago, it was very nice. I am going to Florida for the first time over Spring Break, so I'm excited about that.
Destin is a nice place to visit; the Keys are a crazy fun place to visit; Englewood is nice for golf & beach and full of retirees; But to live there, probably not.
