My sister and her granddaughter are both members of Delta Delta Delta and I was in Sigma Alpha Epsilon . IMO, during the college years a lot depends on the local chapter and the members during your time at the school.
As an example, with the recent issues with Sigma NU at TAM, I don't consider this a reflection of the organization as a whole or as how I remember the members from my time. My military bond helped more thru my career than frat membership.

@carol888 Well, she was still in the running with Delta Zeta and Tri-Delta, but decided to drop from the NPC rush and joined an independent instead...It's smaller, but she knows all her sisters well, it's cheaper (there is no house) and it has really helped her socially and academically.

YOU and (I am sure Dd) 😉 put so must pre-thought, pre planning, shopping bargains, and setting up her awesome dorm, if shebhas a move into a house.......a use your phase I AM DEAD. I went to Miami University in OH. Sororities had suites in the dorms - houses were not allowed. Tri Delts were the richest of the rich and the only dated the Sig Eps( richest of the rich for fraternities). Sigma Nus were the cutest guys BUT always troublemaker!!!! My Dad was a Sigma Nu at Colorado State and confirmed the bad boy image. Hubs was an Alpha Epsilon Pi pledge but quit he was quite a bit older ( did 4 years Army first) really wasn't into the party scene. I was GDI and fared quite well-I tend to be a loner not a joiner.Congrats to all the new pledges - have a great school year!!

@bbk UH has Channel 8 but I am sure they stream UH is in a few weeks I imagine most have them if they have a broadcasting degree

Most houses are filled before school starts then the Spring or Fall they expect or hope you will move into the house! Most want to be in the house so much more fun!
