Pretty exciting. You figure they are tearing out all the woods to put in these new neighborhoods, wildlife has to go somewhere. I haven't seen anything other than raccoons, possums, birds and deer out where we are. But I think having a big cat and a big dog around the place keep things at bay. Oh but the lizards. I have lizards EVERYWHERE.
Here I go telling off on myself again...about 10 years ago early one morning I looked out my front window and saw a sea otter going down into the curb drain, coming back up with a baby and going under the fence of the abandoned house next door. She did this about 5 times all the while I was on my phone to the other neighbor screaming that "there is a sea otter loose in the neighborhood and she is putting her babies in the back yard". Again, someone had to explain nutria rat to me....never had seen one before. East Texas doesn't have those.
There is one in my back yard everyday eating my grass. I wish someone would come over and shoot him or them. I killed one a few years ago with a golf club.
