@Cbear : We had someplace a lot like this in Baton Rouge years ago. Our younger dd had her 7th birthday party there. They had a great time. Very inexpensive, too.

@Cbear : You're correct. They didn't in our household. We always did things with a budget in mind. We had a swimming party (had above ground at the time) for maybe 6 kids. We baked a rectangular cake and made it look like a swimming pool. Another year, before we had any pool, we had a splash party in the backyard. Put out a few slip and slides (borrowed one) and other splash toys. The kids had a blast. Or we had sleep over parties with affordable favors made from dollar store finds. I don't get why everyone has to make a big deal out of every thing.
