And the point I was making with the gift baskets is that in our social media facts don't matter world, one myth breeds another.
In regards to trashing the WH during the presidential transition from Clinton to Bush, yes some misdeeds clearly occurred. However according to the NY Times report on the matter - the General Accounting Office, an investigative arm of Congress, said "Accounts that departing Clinton administration officials destroyed office equipment and committed other acts of vandalism in the White House during the presidential transition were significantly overblown, a manager at the General Accounting Office, the investigative arm of Congress, said today.

This whole thing got started by a Republican lawmaker who wanted to make political points by asserting there was wide spread damage to the WH office complex by Clinton staffers. But of course many don't remember the clarification and perspective on the matter. So the misinformation continues to this day.
