BREAKING - Explosion in Shepherd, TX - A chemical plant had a large explosion minutes ago, followed by many smaller explosions. Multiple victims are reported but first responders have no estimates at this time. Please avoid the smoky area and please yield to emergency vehicles. We'll have more info soon. (Thanks to MCPR readers for the images - we're working on getting it on the site but here's one)

My husband was going to the Livingston casino but it was shot down.
Ton of smoke up there. Our twin granddaughters go to school in Trinity.

my infusion nurse lives blocks away from the plant. she and her family are safe. my son has a friend that lives on the lake and he has been told to shelter in place.

I just read today that the little casino outside Livingston, Naskila reopened yesterday after closing due to this explosion.
