we saw them going northbound, then turning around and letting all the smoke go, then flying over from the San Jack bridge south between Townsend and 59. Flying low and faster than what I expected.
They do give you the chills. Saw them back in '74 at Wings over Houston at Ellington. While the air show is fantastic, watching the pilots on the ground walking to their jet in precision cadence , taxi like they were marching. Great showmanship. I had family in Pensacola that we visited every summer and occasionally would see them over the water practicing. If you ever find yourself in Pensacola visit the Naval Air Museum at the Naval Air Station, well worth it....
I didn't see them; wish I had logged on here earlier; but my friend is a nurse in the Woodlands and she posted a video of them flying over her hospital. I may or may not have been bawling. #MericaTheBrave
It was awesome and they were gone in a flash! We drove up to Old Humble Rd and Beltway 8 area, parked at a gas station, and they flew exactly overhead. Then we hopped on 59 and exited Collingsworth and saw them flying west to east across downtown toward Ellington. They released their smoke across downtown. Totally awesome!!
