@West-Tex : I'm not into Barbie. But I've heard that the young girls are they're dressed up as Barbies to go to the Barbie movie.

@West-Tex : When I was a little girl (around 1960) my mother and I went to the department store and bought my grandmother an original bathing suit Barbie. My grandmother thought it was cute that Barbie had boobs. The doll stayed in the buffet until my grandmother died in 1986. It was perfect in the box. Some relative took it and never fessed up. It would be worth $1000's of dollars now.
I have some of my Barbies from when I was a kid but they are well worn.

I would be so upset! It would definitely be worth so much more! My favorite Barbie was actually in my dad's car. We were visiting relatives out of town and someone stole his car. I was so sad and my dad meant to get her out the night before but fell asleep. He felt so bad.

@West-Tex : It's funny how Barbie and Skipper's little sister Tutti just kind of disappeared. I loved my Barbie's. Especially Tutti. Her hair was so long and soft.

@Catmae: I remember skipper but I don't remember Tutti. That must have been a real flop and very short lived
