That's cool, I'm in the North. I thought about getting one of those. I have a decent one now but it is just the sensor you place outside on the porch.

I'm a 60's kind of guy, not the best with technology. I will have my weather rock in the yard for the storm. Updates to follow.

@Andi7 : That is super cool. I followed the map all the way to my houses. Unfortunately no one has updated except Follet Island which is what is called but no one knows. I bought DH a weather station but if we had put it up, it might be toast already. Was it hard to set all that up?

@ladybeachbum : Not hard at all to set it up. I put a 2" x 5 ft metal tube 2 feet into the ground and placed the station on a 1 1/2" x 10' painted PVC pipe inside the metal pipe. That made it to where I can easily change the batteries out when needed. The software was really easy to link everything up to the router.

@Andi7 : I'd need to really secure it at the beach but could do that. If it stopped working I'd know I have problems but I am guessing it uses internet? The internet goes out faster than I can drive in and out the driveway some days. We had cameras on one of the homes and it was a nightmare and they were commercial and installed by the camera crew.
