Either way,nobody should be touching what you plant. Trees and flowers cost so much nowadays. Maybe have a gardiner come out and see if it's a fungus. I had white scale that killed off my beautiful bottle brush. There is a lot of fungus down here.

Then I'd fill it up with a powerful, yet cheap, liquid herbicide that kills anything it touches....

Then I'd wait until there was a "MOONLESS Night".....

Finally, I'd sneak out in the cover of darkness and spray the hell out of these:

@EddyFree : I'd sit out there in the dark every night with a beebe gun till I caught them. I keep thinking about Bruce Dern in the movie Neighbors LOL!!
