$3K Theft From Ulta Lands Two In Jail

Just before 3pm, Humble PD responded to a theft report at Ulta, where an employee provided a description of the suspect's vehicle and license plate, which had fled the scene.

An officer in the vicinity quickly located the suspect vehicle traveling south on US Hwy 59 near Will Clayton Pkwy.

A traffic stop was initiated, and both suspects were taken into custody. The subsequent search yielded over $3,500 worth of stolen goods. Further investigation revealed that one of the suspects had a prior arrest at the same Ulta location just a few weeks ago for the same offense, and was also wanted on two outstanding warrants issued by Harris County.

You know, I've often wondered why Ulta gets hit so much. Our Ulta got hit a few months ago, too. I think it isn't so much that they are any easier to steal from than any other store so much as it is that they have items that can be easily hocked on social media sites. There's some lady in our area that is always selling "designer" purses on social media. They are probably counterfeit, but I wonder where she is getting these purses. I wonder if she is stealing them. I know our dd used to work at Abercrombie. She said people stole stuff all of the time, and she felt sure it was going to show up on social media marketplace pages.

@RajunCajun : Wasn't there a thread on here a few weeks ago that showed a guy who stole a bag full of stuff from a dollar store, and that bag busted open when he was trying to make his escape? A bag full of laundry detergent and stuff, mostly? On that thread, someone said they steal laundry detergent and similar things, then go sell it on Facebook Marketplace. Do you remember that thread?

Sometimes I see garage/yard sales going on with multiple packages of clothes detergents or softeners and I always wonder where and why this person has so much to sell.

This place gets hit at LEAST once a month! They need camera's or a guard don't y'all think? I was with DD at the Ulta up in Valley Ranch and was actually a bit nervous!
