@Pinehurst : Over the weekend, one of the demonstrators kept repeating the same phrase as he was walking in front of the courthouse: "The only good cracker, is a dXXd cracker." Over and over and over. If this is the mindset of those who are raising them, these kids don't have one single chance at all.

The fact that the killer couldn't even apologize for his behavior is very telling- he apparently didn't cry watching the video and hearing the medical report but cried for himself. That speaks volumes. Evil walks among us.

Hopefully our country has moved towards sanity and away from insanity in 17 years.

@eighteen : The problem is that shouldn't be a thing. We don't get to go around stabbing people that **** us off.I'm over this whole people are expendable for minor ******** crap.

@ParksideRes : It wouldn't surprise me if they are granted an appeal and retry the case, based on the jury selection.

@Catmae : Voire Dire,I didn't see the the full process but each side gets strikes. It's not set that way from the beginning.I'm sure there will be years of appeals, there is in every single case.

@MrsT : I'm not saying he should've been stabbed. I'm ultimately saying these are two separate kids, with different personalities and we don't know what parenting them was like, or what it would be like to be in either family's position. These were two teens who probably acted out of character from how they were raised. Placing blame on the Parents for the behavior of teens isn't it.

I don't think 35 years is long enough. He killed a young boy as young as he is. Both families devastated. But why would he ever get only 35 years where he could get parole after 17. That's not really justice. I've heard that one of the reasons he did this was for a gang initiation. I don't know if that's true or not, but he did post a bunch of pics of him holding guns and money on FB alone in with friends. This is only one of the pics. Looks like he's throwing gang signs. But I can't tell cause I don't know what the fingers mean. He never cried after he shot the young man and killed him. He only cried when he got a guilty verdict.
