Toll Road collects over $2.7 million dollars every day. That's over $110,000 every hour.
Am never voting yes on any future bond funding. It's all wasted money. Toll roads are definitely paid with tax money, but instead of calling it a toll tax, they call it a toll fee. There is no difference is there?

You can always just drive down the feeder road and avoid tolls. I look at it like NetFlix. If you don't mind watching shows with commercials, watch it on free TV. If you want rid of commercials, pay for a streaming service. If you don't mind stopping you car every mile or so, use the feeder or surface roads. If you want to drive without traffic signals, pay the tolls. Your choice.

It's a tax, a fleecing of the drivers who cannot reasonably take alternative routes. And yes tax money was used to build beltway 8. It was a project under Obama to help pull us out of recession

@ParksideRes :
it was under construction for the past 30 years, but the work was halted. If you pull up the list of boots ready projects funded by Obamas stimulus packages when he first took office- you will see it. Had some conversations with folk on here that claimed to have never benefited from Obamas deficit spending - until this was pointed out.

@redneckroy :
It funded repaving on feeder sections already completed. Not new construction of the Tollway. The only highway usage was in the connector ramps to and from 59. That section is free of tolls.

Oh, I get it. Just like the tax we pay for groceries....Right! Don't eat, don't pay.
It's only a toll on groceries, not a tax.
