@ClydepuckettGood grief.......uh yeah, the global oil markets are just like the local self inflicted political screw ups in Detroit. And auto manufacturing didn't migrate overseas.....Parts manufacturing did......not assembly. Toyota and Nissan now build autos here for distribution in America. Chevys and Fords aren't assembled in China and Japan. Capital goes where it feels most welcome......Detroit fell victim to its own suburbs......
Wasn't about the X's and O's behind two different industries suffering job loss...More along the lines of having respect for the misfortune of other Americans as your area could experiance a similar situation one day...
On another matter, futures prices show a gallon of milk is double the price of a gallon of crude oil. Why is that?
- Oil isn't as "tasty" as milk?
- Oil isn't as healthy as milk?
- Milk is whiter than oil, therefore worth more?
- An "oil-mustache" isn't as appealing as a milk one?
- Cows are demanding free-udder time these days?
- The phrase "Got Oil" just doesn't have the same effect?
- The phrase "Oil...It does the body good.." wouldn't work?
- A bowl of Cherrios floating in crude isn't as appetizing?
