This is the best ADC thread in forever!! We weren't there, but love that some of the community took time to chime in about a job well done for our residents! I hope those involved read every word and felt how much their hard work was appreciated. That's the community I miss around here.

My granddaughters had such a fun day. First the 4th of July parade and goodies after the parade, and than a wonderful night at the Overlook. It could not have been better. The girls slept well last night. LOL They loved the water slide as much as the fireworks.

All, I will be sure to pass your thoughts and appreciation to the Volunteers and Businesses that helped make both events happen. It is such a pleasure to be able to see true appreciation for our efforts in trying to bring the community events for all to enjoy. It makes being a volunteer easier. Thanks again.

@Astrokatz I know it's hard work to organize something of that scale and everyone involved definitely needs a big ol' community hug!!It is VERY much appreciated!

@blueyes What was the food served ?

Yes the fireworks were really nice & lasted longer this year . I can't do all the walking so parking on the street & walking is off limits for me . We do have a special spot that we park at & watch from our air conditioned car & really enjoy it .

@blueyes I looked for the video and saw A LOT of drone firework videos. If someone finds the video, let me know!The hot dogs and nachos were perfect and the grandkids and I totally pigged out (they had tons). We didn't stand in the cotton candy/snow cone line either, but now I'm craving cotton candy, lol.
