@HumbleTexan Maybe you would like to explain to all of us where you are getting your facts from ? Because it is not from Hcad . We were told in 2009 or 2010 people on the GC were told to go & argue their taxes down . I think the proof of that is in the numbers . I have tracked 35 homes on & off the GC since 2009 which is pre closure because the door didn't shut till Dec 31,2009. This doesn't mean I happened to get the biggest loss but I will show 2 extreme losses which I have never seen on hcad ever before . When Inwood North flooded & the government came in & bought up over 100 homes it DID NOT DECREASE the value of the others like I have seen out here in Atascocita ( OVER CLOSURE OF A GOLF COURSE ) ! Which says to me what was told to us was true that people went in & ARGUED their taxes down .In 2009 on Atascocita Lakeway in 2009 fell from a value of $300,000 to $214,703 in 2010 A LOSS OF $ 85,297 .00 He shows an increase in value from 2014 to 2015 of $45,087 .2009 Atas Lake Way in 2009 was $252,961 & fell to $179,330 or a loss of $73,631 . Her increase from 2014 to 2015 is up $37,659 Past Board member on Rebawood in 2009 was $199,815 & NEVER FELL ONE PENNY PEROID . AND ON THE GOLF COURSE .Past Board member on Spoon Wood now watch this close because he is one of them going on & on & on about ( ALL ) our properties values falling . .2009 --$228,800--2010--2011--2012 all stayed at $228,800 *****2013 *****$251,680 .00 HIS NEVER FELL & HE INCREASED $22,880.00 . 2015 he is showing an increase from 2009 till now of $63,309.00.All of those are on the golf course I live off the course & mine increased $6,912.00 from 2009 till 2013 . I am not done with updating all to 2015 .

In my opinion homes are going to sell in ACIA despite ourselves , despite a BEAUTIFUL golf course or keeping weeds at no more than 3 ft high on that golf course if it were to fail . People spend big bucks to purchase property that backs up to woods are a field with nothing but weeds or cattle .The sales history I put up not long ago proves that ACIA out sold Walden & all the others except Eagle Springs . I have that history of subdivision sales from 2008 till 2014 taken from HAR . So those numbers do not include new homes built they are realtor resale homes .
