That is awesome, daisy girl. I am going to have to look at radio shack for this 11 dollar antenna haha. What brand is yours?

If only I could get the ID channel without cable or satellite. It's my weakness, I admit.... But I REALLY hate paying for lots of Spanish channels that I don't watch and don't understand and all those sports channels!!!! Wish there was some sort of "a la carte" system...

Me too! I would do without the Spanish and music channels for sure. I would have to keep sports because of hubby and sons. I do wish you could pick your own channels, like you said.

When I lived in the Trails a few years back, I had an HD Antenna (inside, put by my window), I got ALL the local channels and ALL in HD, and.....since the HD channels were coming in direct, was a much better picture than getting it through cable/Dish (I know you're going to question it, none of my friends believed I didn't have cable hooked up somehow, lol). I went several years without having to pay for cable, I'm in KW now, couldn't get one channel with the same Antenna, so I have Direct.
There is a website that shows you where the signals are and how far away you are from them, and where to point your antenna to, I miss that, even though I watch a few cable networks, I could do without them.

Can you put that one antenna to be hooked into all of your cable outlets in your house then?

When we did ours 15yrs ago, my DH had to get a splitter to hook up to the antenna and then he ran individual wires through each cable outlet. It works great! By now, there might be a better way to do it. The people at Radio Shack are usually helpful. The Best Buy TV dept people may know, too.

We have a "plug and play" box in our house where all the cable outlets come into one box so I am thinking if I hook the antenna up to that box it will feed off to all of them at least I am hoping haha. Going to have to try this out this weekend maybe.

Just wanted to update this thread if anyone else was curious... I bought the above antenna at wally world, and mounted it in the attic last night. Hooked it up to my TV in the bedroom... It works great!!!

Picked up a ton of channels... had to delete quite a few, because I only speak English Emoticon

may have missed a few... but these are most of the channels I picked up....

That thing above is a monster compared to mine. Mine looks like a base with s round antenna and rabbit ears. The base is like 6 in. X 4 in. I just turn the round one and move ears. In fact it's been in the same place for almost 4 years and need no adjustments.
