I saw a post from the Atascocita library the other day that really got my attention. Harris County is dealing with a tight budget, and it sounds like some programs might be cut-including the ones at our libraries and others that help keep kids on the right path.

Honestly, that worries me. My 12-year-old loves the library programs-they've been such a great outlet and a bright spot in our routine. It would be such a loss for so many families if they disappeared.

If you care about stuff like this too, now's the time to speak up. The county is actually asking for public input, which doesn't happen all the time.

How is the budget tight? Property taxes have skyrocketed! Seems like county mismanagement of funds.

That's very likely but they are asking for people to stand up for the programs that they enjoy. Not much different than when parents are going through bank statements and then asking 'Does anyone still watch Crunchyroll, Netflix?" ;-D
