Stu9675 : The trick is to have some melted butter mixed with garlic powder on standby. When the biscuits are done, take them out of the oven and brush the tops generously with the butter mixture while they're still hot. It soaks into the biscuits immediately and gives a nice crispness to the tops. They're actually better than RL's!

@brightlights : Oh man that sounds delicious 😋. Next time we buy some we'll have to give that a try. Thanks!

Good riddance, I say! Might as well raid the Sisco truck! 😂 The last time I went there in 1996 (with coworkers), I had a chicken caesar salad, which almost immediately gave me food poisoning (right when I got back to work...I'll spare you the details...you're welcome). 😬

@brightlights : My oldest son aspired to be a chef. He took a job at Red Lobster and stayed all of three hours. Here's part of his training:

1. When fresh lobster is chosen out of the tank at the front of the restaurant, take that lobster and put it in a tank at the back of the kitchen. Then take a frozen lobster out of the freezer and cook. At the end of the evening, take the lobsters in the back tank and move them back to the tank at the front of the restaurant.

2. Each meal is pre-packaged in thin plastic bags. When the order is placed, take the entire bag (plastic and all), and toss it into the hot oil. So what the customer gets is a plastic bag fried meal. Plastic included.

This is why he walked out after three hours. Our entire family never went back after that.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the popcorn shrimp like I almost always do. The waiter bought my order out and said I was the first person to try their new popcorn shrimp. After he sit it down he then went hmmmmm as he looked at it. It was regular size shrimp that had tails. Popcorn shrimp doesn't have tails! . And it definitely was not popcorn. I kept it because I didn't want to wait… he said he would check with the kitchen but never heard anything back from him on it…

@Catmae : That sounds as bad as @Enzo's soda story. 😬
