I really hope no one ever has to

Deal with their loved one being in the hospital or any sort of medical facility during this covid crisis. My dad went into the hospital the 27th of December. He was just moved yesterday to a rehab facility in the woodlands. Not once in this whole ordeal have i been able to talk to a nurse about his condition. Not once has a nurse called me back after I was told they would. NOT ONCE! I am on ******* fire. I am LIVID.

I was told tonight that if I wanted to see my dad, he was in a window room and I could bring a lawn chair and sit outside his window to look at him. Yeah.. ******* livid!

When mom was in the hospital in Oct, my brother could not go see her. He did talk to her doctors, because they were the same ones she has had for 35+ years. A social worker called me to tell me she had to have hospice. So we had her come home and die in her own home.
I feel your pain and at least you can window see him. I didn't make it to NoCal to see and say goodbye.
The last time I talked to her she said she was not going to a hospital and said I love you and hung up on me.
Life sucks but go window see!

sorry to hear you are having to go through this . this life we live is sometimes fraught with lows you never thought you would have to endure. you are in my thoughts and i wish you the best

@carol888 : nope, don't want a job in Healthcare. And I totally understand the stress these facilities must be under. But when one calls over 50 times throughout the ordeal with no response.. well that is just neglect

@redneckroy : yep I do. And I'm putting myself at risk picking him up and him still being covid positive. But I'm praying that since he has been asymptomatic for over 10 days means he can no longer pass it along. Either way I'll chance it
